Tip 1: Reward and Praise
Training a dog or other animal isn't that different from raising a child: you have to communicate, and you have to offer lots
of praise. It doesn't hurt to always be ready with a small piece of your pet's favorite treat, either.
Tip 2: Be Consistant
Adult dogs and puppies alike learn more quickly the "rules" if each routine is consistant and each punishment is consistant
also. For example use the same phrase when you are showing disapproval, like the word "No" or "Bad Dog." VERY IMPORTANT: Never
hit a dog for doing something wrong, the dog will most likely misinterpret the action.
